If you installed the patch and you cant get in the game at all, you don't have to uninstall.

just go to the gears of war folders, find the folder BACKUP.

Rename UNPATCH.BAK to UNPATCH.BAT

and it will remove the patch so you can at least play single player!

Gears Of War – Installation:

1) Extract the rar's with WinRar, 7-Zip, or WinAce

If you get "CRC failed in file name. The file is corrupt"! error, use repair command:

Open Winrar from the Start Menu. Navigate to and select the damaged file. Click "Repair" on the toolbar

2) Mount or Burn the iso.

Mount: use the included Microsoft Virtual ROM tool,

or whatever you prefer. Then, find the new drive in "My Computer"

or

Burn: burning software has the option to "Burn from Image".

"GEARSOFWAR.iso" is the image. (may say system.iso)

You'll need a Dual-Layer DVD burner and software like Nero,

plus a blank Dual-Layer DVD disk.

Mounting is faster, cheaper, and easier, but requires HDD space

Burning to Disk costs more and is slow, but gives a Hard Copy

3) Install Game, backup the installed Startup.exe file

4) Copy Razor 1911 Crack over installed Startup.exe file in the folder

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries



Before Playing: Turn back the year on the PC to 2006.†

You'll need a free Ubi.com account to log in, and so the game will "Save".

Go to Ubi.com, and at the top of the page click "Sign Up".

Create a Username (carefull here! you'll be stuck with it for all Ubi games).

The username you create will be your player name in all Ubi games

You will need to give a real email address. everything else can be fake.

If you enter an age below 18, you will not be allowed to sign up.

If you get the free Ubi account BEFORE you try to play, you will login automatically

(at least, thats what happened to me)

†If you get "modified executable code" errors when attempting to play the game, try setting the date on you PC back to 2006.

Then play, save a game, then you can return the pc back to the correct year.

The expiration date on the certificate was apparently set for yesterday, January 28. When the date switched over, the game became unplayable.

. . . a simple workaround for the Gears problem: setting the system clock back to a date prior to the expiration.



(The issue) is a bug in the copyright protection software. It's checking to see if the executable is modified.

It does that by verifying the built-in certificate, which is a cryptographic signature that says that Epic vouches for the content of the EXE.

The bug is that the certificate check is deciding that the certificate is a forgery because it has expired. this is a mistake, as it should not have any expiration checks at all
